We got up a bit earlier today so we could get to the Louvre at a decent time. It was pretty cool cause we got to see
the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Also, I stumbled upon that gorgey portrait of Josephine Bonaparte from the cover of "The
Many Lives & Secret Sorrows of Josephine B.". So I made sure to take a picture of it. After that, our shopping spree began.
At the Esprit in the Louvre, I got a purple tweed newsboy cap. We then went to the Avenue Rivoli where there was loads of
shops. I stopped at a tourist shop and bought a tote bag of the Moulin Rouge (since I didn't get a real one at the actual
Moulin Rouge, which I'm quite disappointed about). We stopped at a bunch of stores like the Adidas store, Axara, Zara, Mango,
Etam, H&M and Footlocker. I got a really pretty tunic-length tank top from Axara and some bath stuff for Mom at some Provençal
store. It was me, Jill, Diab and Nagle cause Natal went to Père Lachaise cemetary to see Jim Morrison's grave. She did some
shopping as well and we just happened upon her on Rivoli so it worked out okay. At one point we got separated from Natal,
Nick, Nagle and Joel. So me, Jill, Diab and Colin made our way to l'Arc de Triomphe to our group meeting place for
supper. It worked out well because there was a tourist shop right next to the restaurant so after supper we went there and
I got Dad a tie with little Eiffel Towers on it and a scarf to wrap Grandma's present in. Later, on the métro, I unfolded
the scarf and found that there were two, but I had only paid for one! So later I wrapped Mom's bath stuff in it. We then went
to the Eiffel Tower and made our way to the boat cruise place along the Seine. The boat cruise was really fun. Along l'Ile
de la Cité there were so many couples sitting near the water cuddling or kissing. It was so adorable. And Notre Dame and the
Louvre looked so neat from the water. It was so pretty. Back at the hotel, I had to repack so I could fit all my clothes into
the suitcase and anything that didn't fit went into my carry on, which is now incredibly heavy.
