Colin, Diab, Jill and Joel at the Toronto Airport |
Not been as excited as I thought I'd be. But so far the trip is going really well. After massing in front of the check
in area at the airport, we were given our tickets and we checked in. After saying my goodbyes to Dad and Grandma, we went
through security and up to the departures waiting area. On the plane from here to Toronto, I sat with Jill and Laura (St.Amour).
The Toronto airport was just as crazy as I remembered it. We went from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 (on the moving sidewalks,
which are so much fun). At Terminal 1, we had some time to kill before our next flight so first we went to the Duty Free and
put on perfume ( I put on "Pleasures Intense" by Estée Lauder, which I really wanna buy now). Then to the somewhat miniscule
food court. I had a BLT from Tim Horton's as well as a donut. Then we went theough security again and to the waiting area
for our gate. It was really warm so I went into the bathroom to take off the shirt I had on underneath my t-shirt and
there was a huge line-up in the bathroom 'cause there was only one bloody stall! I got to talk to some very nice women while
waiting so that was pretty cool, I s'pose. We got on the Toronto-London plane. Again I was sitting with Laura and Jill. The
supper we got was really good. Some chicken in a sauce with rice, carrots and broccoli; a salad with balsamic vinagrette dressing;
a roll; chocolate ice cream and a bottle of water. It was all really good. Plus the inflight movie was "Master &
Commander"!!! I can't wait to tell Jenny and the ladies at Horatians about this stroke of luck. I am still worried about my
luggage, though and whether it's going to make it to London. Anyway, it's about 9:30pm (EST) and I should probly rest
some and the after the movie try to sleep.
**Note** I didn't end up sleeping at all on that flight. I maybe was able to doze for a grand total of 15 minutes. No
one else really slept either. With the exception of Natal and Cashin, because they had sleeping pills or Nyquil or something.
